Twitter Spam Attack Slows Down Twitter Service
Twitter Spam is not just annoying – it’s starting to affect the overall performance of Twitter’s service. Earlier today, follow and unfollow actions were delayed by half an hour because of a spam attack. From the Twitter Status Blog:
Due to a side effect of combating a current spam attack, followings and unfollowings are currently delayed by about 30 minutes.
We expect this behavior to return to normal subsecond delay within the next hour or so.
