		<description>Ugh. There are two things in this world that I can describe my feelings toward them as true hate: Traffic, and Spammers. They both have the ability to very quickly ruin my day.

That being said. I have to say: I called it!

When I first suspected that spammers had found a way to game the system and follow quietly, without notifying the followed, I produced &lt;a href="http://www.structuredthought.org/?p=85" rel="nofollow"&gt;this post&lt;/a&gt; to which @ev responded to explain why we weren't getting the follower message.

After that, I got a lot of questions about how spammers would be able to exploit a voluntary-listen system like Twitter. In response, I created &lt;a href="http://www.structuredthought.org/?p=86" rel="nofollow"&gt;this post&lt;/a&gt;, detailing how I figured spammers could utilize a system like this.

While it's nice to have your suspicions confirmed and your opinion validated, it makes me sad that I even needed to make those posts in the first place.
